Apart from its incredible wildlife, amazing landscapes, and friendly laidback nature of “Aussies”, Australia is a fantastic place to work and holiday and we’re going to give you a few tips on how you can do it!

How do I get a visa to Work and holiday in Australia?

If you are a citizen from an eligible country and aged between 18-35, then getting an Australia working Visa is a great option for those wanting to travel around Australia long term.

The visas to apply for are either the subclass 462 or 417. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months. The visa length is for 12 months and can be extended for an additional year (or two) by working in regional and remote areas of Australia.

Are there any conditions?

You are required to have travel insurance, no criminal record, and sufficient funds if you are not employed before leaving your country.

What’s it like to work and live in Australia?

The working and living conditions in Australia are excellent. Many cities in Australia frequently make the top 10 places to live because of the balance between work and social life, environment, healthcare, economy, and general quality of life.

What’s the pay like?

Australia’s minimum wage at around $21 p/h is in the top 3 countries in the world. If we were to work off $21 p/h for a weekday shift, working on Sundays is $30 p/h, and on public holidays around $50 p/h.

Is accommodation available with jobs?

Depending on the job, yes it is sometimes provided. With a lot of the regional work like farming and hospitality work accommodation is almost always provided.
